Evaluation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy on the Mental and Emotional Wellbeing of Caregivers of Children with Special Needs

Abstract

The basic assumption underlying different models of cognitive therapy is that distorted thinking is the cause root of dysfunctional mood and behaviors. By realistically evaluating one’s thinking through various techniques offered by CBT, one can create a lasting change in one’s dysfunctional moods and behavior. Their profound insight was that entering from our disturbing thoughts can improve mental well-being, and this can be achieved through mindfulness practices. The main objective of the study was to evaluate the cognitive behavioural therapy on the mental and emotional wellbeing of caregivers of children with special needs. After proper research methodology, the results, discussion and conclusion were chronicled.
