Critical Study of Medium Access Control Protocol (MAC) in Manets

Published 2021-12-23

Abstract

The Medium Access Control Protocol (MAC) offers network nodes an addressing and channel access mechanism for wireless communication. To prevent transmission collision in Manet, a reliable and capable MAC protocol is required. The MAC protocol is intended to fix issues with exposed and hidden nodes. The distribution of resources among individual nodes is handled by the MAC layer. A crucial resource is bandwidth. The data rate that a network link or network path can transfer in a given amount of time is known as bandwidth. This paper reflects critical study of Medium Access Control (MAC) in MANETs.
