Abstract

Faiz Ahmed Faiz was a wonderful poet who managed to blend depth of heart, warmth of mind, energy of imagination, and revolutionary idealism in his poetry. However, this progressive enthusiasm is often tempered by a strong sense of hope and optimism. As a result, we lack a feeling of tragedy in his poetry. In poems like "Heart Attack," "Let Me Think," and "In this Abode of Non-Being," he draws closer to it in his final phase. In these poems, the ecstasy of love has vanished, and he is surrounded by a confused feeling of realism. These three poems are defined by a sense of impending death and old age. The poet expresses his feelings in a subdued manner here. The poet's self-awareness is also stronger in these poems, and he gives no solutions to complicated existential concerns
