Green Lifestyle an Aid To Enhance Subjective Well-Being

Published 2021-09-08

Abstract

The imbalance in our eco-system is responsible for a variety of environmental issues, prompting people to become more conscious about adopting a green lifestyle in order to prevent detrimental behaviours to the environment. Adapting to such a lifestyle would lead to their contentment and satisfaction in knowing that they are doing something beneficial for their friends, family and society as a whole. The paper examines the green activities of the people in their daily lives. It also provides a thorough grasp of how a greener lifestyle will improve their subjective well-being. The respondents are chosen via quota sampling. Respondents were given a well-defined questionnaire to fill out in order to capture their thoughts. The findings of the study show that everyone, regardless of age or gender, is living an environmentally friendly lifestyle. There is also a positive relationship between a green lifestyle and subjective environmental well-being. This demonstrates that leading a sustainable lifestyle has made people happy and content. Human minds have been instilled with a greater awareness of environmental deterioration, encouraging them to work towards greening the earth for the benefit of future generations. The world can become a cleaner and greener place to live in with more efforts from the individuals, institutions, industries and government.
