Comparative Study on Empathy and Job Satisfaction of Teachers and Special Educators

Abstract

Teachers have a vital role in a student's life. A teacher must learn to empathise with their students. Because to the worldwide pandemic, offline mode has been switched to online mode. However, not everyone is familiar with the technology. A special child will need a lot of time to learn and develop abilities in order to keep up with the newest fashion trends. A teacher who is happy with his or her job might demonstrate more empathy for the students. The present study is done to find the difference in empathy and job satisfaction of regular school teachers and special educators. Data was collected from 228 teachers. After application of one sample T Test, significant difference was found between two groups. The study might be beneficial in improving the teacher-student interaction and promote positive mental health among teachers as well as students.
