An In-Depth Analysis for Knowing Use of ICT in Academics by Students

Published 2021-12-23

Abstract

Information and communication technology (ICT) has grown ubiquitous and more crucial for students in all walks of life, including education. The purpose of this study is to catalogue the various ways in which information and communication technology (ICT) has influenced postsecondary instruction. There were 800 secondary school students polled for the study, and the research method was quantitative. Descriptive results show that those with home internet access spend more time online and are more likely to be interested in higher education; however, spending several hours per day online has a negative relationship with academic performance, suggesting that increased screen time may have a negative impact on academic success.
