Investigating the Influence of Circuit Weight Training on Basketball Players

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to give a thorough examination of circuit weight training for basketball players. Weight training on a circuit has become more popular as a means of enhancing athletes' general physical fitness. The study will use a control group and an experimental group in a pre-test/post-test format. The control group will continue with their standard basketball practices, while the intervention group will add circuit weight training. Statistical analysis was performed using analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) on the data collected for the fitness-related variables. The degree of confidence used to test the hypothesis was always set at 0.05. Conclusions: Compared to the control group, the experimental group improved significantly in all measures of chosen physical fitness, including leg strength, leg explosive power, and abdominal strength endurance. The results of this research have the potential to shed light on the advantages of circuit weight training for basketball players and aid in the development of more effective training regimens for the sport.
