Abstract

The introduction of social networking sites into the online world completely altered the traditional methods of interaction between people. Business, government, education, fitness, and basic human connection are just few of the areas where social media has had a significant influence on modern digital life. While there are undoubtedly benefits to being alive in the digital age, there are also significant behavioral and mental hazards associated with it. This is mostly attributable to the fact that spending too much time on social media may quickly become addictive, causing the user to lose valuable time while also negatively impacting his or her mental health and productivity. To improve students' ability to concentrate, learn new skills, and complete more work in less time, the research explores the good and bad mental health outcomes associated with social media use.
