Perspectives of English with Special Reference to Global Business Language

Abstract

A global language is a language spoken internationally, which is learned by many people as a second language. A world language is not only characterized by the number of its speakers but also by its geographical distribution, international organizations and in diplomatic relations.English has the status of a global language in the sense that, it has developed a special role that is recognized in every country, either as an official language or as a language which is given priority in the country’s foreign-language teaching. In this article, perspectives of English with special reference to global business language has been discussed.
