The impact of ethical literacy on information seeking behavior and republish students’ information

Abstract

Ethical literacy focuses on moral judgment and acceptance moral and social responsibility to society. One of the areas in which ethical standards and values play an undeniable role in the final decisions and behaviors of individuals is the field of science knowledge education. In the field of education, people are always faced with different demands that must be met by making decisions appropriate to their circumstances. This problem of Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research is very important and necessary. Accordingly, this study main purpose to investigate the factors affecting the principles of ethical literacy of graduate students of Islamic Azad University of Semnan in April 2019. The methodology is a correlation analysis and it was selected from a Statistical population of 1,500 people using the Cochran formula of 384 samples by cluster sampling. Findings show that there is a significant relationship between ethical literacy (0.259) and information seeking behavior and republishing information. There is also a significant relationship between moral potential (0.345), moral sensitivities (0.581) and reasoning skills (0.249) and information seeking behavior and republishing information. Multiple regression coefficients show that attention to the moral potential with beta (0.125), strengthening reasoning skills (0.112) and moral sensitivities (0.481) have explained and predicted the variables of information retrieval behavior and republishing and totally the adjusted coefficient of determination is 36%. This shows that 36% of the dependent variable change is predicted and explained by the above three variables.
