Published 2021-09-01

Abstract

There are assistive devices and technologies that aim to increase, maintain, or improve the functional abilities of people with disabilities. There are many examples of assistive devices and technologies like wheelchairs, prostheses, hearing aids, visual aids, and specialized computer software and hardware that increase mobility, hearing vision, or communication capacities. Examples of limitations in functioning are difficulties in thinking, seeing, hearing, communicating, moving around, having relationships, or keeping a job. Depends on the patient’s disability in moving or understanding, gesture can be an efficient way to do daily works and issues. It can use as a platform that can use in different fields like assistive, rehabilitation, and interaction.

In this article, the goal is to design a physiotherapy support system for people with disabilities so that they can know if their movements and exercises are right or wrong without the need for an expert. In this way, by showing the exercise movement, the patient will do it and through deep learning in Python, the movement will be validated and the correctness of the movement will be indicated to the user in green or red.
