Abstract
This article discusses the chemical special properties of water, the mechanism of water cycle in nature, as connecting together all the water resources of our planet, wherever they are: in the atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere. Special attention is paid to the problem of water pollution - a serious environmental problem, as water is necessary for the existence of all living organisms, including people. Dangerous pollution factors, such as industrial waste, sewer water, oil leakage, agriculture, atmospheric pollution and others, as well as methods for cleaning water from them are considered. To protect surface water from pollution, the following eco-protection measures are provided - the development of waste-free and anhydrous technologies, the introduction of circulating water supply systems.
